Description
In the constant search for the best quality fruit available, Rutini Wines has always sought out vineyards in the top viticulture regions of Mendoza. Pioneering the industry, Rutini Wines was one of the first to plant vineyards in Tupungato in 1925, now recognized as one of Mendoza’s premier viticulture regions.
The Tupungato Valley is located 50 miles to the south of the city of Mendoza. In the foothills of the Andes, the altitudes of the Uco Valley range from 3,000 to 5,000 feet above sea level. The optimal altitude and micro-climates provide for especially ideal grape growing conditions.
The sunny day and dry summer conditions assure for complete maturation of the grapes, and the cool evening temperatures and controlled irrigation serve to prolong the longevity of the grapes, creating good balance between sugar and acidity. The pebble-covered soils allow optimal drainage and low humidity.
THE STYLE
Trumpeter Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant, crisp white wine with yellow-green undertones. The nose proffers strong, persistent fruity aromas blended with notes of grapefruit, herbs and freshly cut grass. The mouthfeel is smooth and fruity with citrus character, and a refreshing acidity.
Pale yellow with steely glints. On the nose, fresh herbaceous aromas typical of the variety (freshly cut grass) combine with citrus notes. Flavour in the mouth reiterates the aromas, finishing with a long, memorable and slightly unctuous sensation.
