Description
Sauvignon Blanc, although of French origin, finds its most vocated area on the other side of the world (literally). And to be precise in Marlborough, in the heart of New Zealand. Here in the version proposed by Nau Mai, it stands out for the immediacy of its perfumes, its penetrating and tropical aromas and above all for the great balance between softness and freshness. Pure Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Marlborough region, harvested in the cool of the night. Once in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and immediately sent for fermentation in steel. This is followed by an ageing period of a few months, again in stainless steel, before being immediately bottled to best preserve the freshness of the primary aromas. Brilliant straw yellow in colour, the nose reveals all its exuberance thanks to notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, lychee and the typical hints of tomato leaf. Then pepper and mown grass. In the mouth, it is extremely consistent, with a persistent mineral note acting as a trait d’union. A very fresh white, it is always more than happy to drink. From spicy dishes, including vegetarian cuisine, to raw seafood, it is really difficult to put it through its paces. To be uncorked, without hesitation!
