Description
Médoc is a wine-growing region within the Bordeaux wine region in France, specifically located on the left bank of the Gironde Estuary. It is known for producing predominantly red wines, with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon as the primary grape variety used in the blends.
Working with their long-term partner-grower, the Maison Castel oenolgists choose the very best quality fruit from the Haut-Médoc area. The different parcels are vinified separately in order to enhance their expression and extraction is adapted according to the vintage. The wine
spends a long period in tank (3 – 4 months) followed by oak ageing to
enhance fruit character and add body.
